Since the winter semester 2025/25, students at the University of Münster who are interested in the role of religion in politics and society have the opportunity to acquire the “Religion and Politics” certificate alongside their studies. The certificate programme introduces them to systematic approaches to the field of religion and politics from an interdisciplinary perspective. The modularized programme aims to incorporate the research expertise of the various disciplines within the Cluster of Excellence “Religion and Politics” into its teaching curriculum.
The faculty organises itself into institutes and seminars and is also involved in several overarching research institutions at the University of Münster.
In their research, the disciplines gathered in the faculty cooperate with each other and with partners outside the faculty in a variety of ways.

With its extensive collection, the Archaeological Museum of the University of Münster offers all those interested exciting insights into the arts and crafts of ancient cultures of the Mediterranean, the Near East, Ancient Egypt, South Arabia and the late medieval and early modern Münster.
