Educational programmes for professionals

Against the backdrop of the trend towards individualised educational pathways, academic executive education is becoming increasingly important in our society. In addition, today's knowledge society with its differentiated objectives requires flexible and target group-orientated educational programmes. The Münster University Professional School offers Master programmes, certificate courses, teacher training and seminars in the range of subjects offered at the University of Münster. The Faculty of History & Philosophy participates in these offerings with two part-time Executive Master programmes.

Executive Master “Visual Anthropology”

In today’s globalized world, where media representations shape social and political spheres, a critical understanding of media and (audio-) visual culture is crucial. Media studies, rooted in social anthropology, offers an in-depth approach to analyzing the complex connections between media, culture and society. The Master Program trains students in theory and practice in the areas of visual anthropology, the documentary arts, media culture and media anthropology.
