Research Prize of the University of Münster
The Research Prize, awarded every two years, distinguishes an outstanding researcher whose work has enhanced the reputation of the University of Münster. The 30,000-euro prize serves to support the winner's continued research activities and may also be used to finance an international colloquium in Münster on a topic in the prizewinner's research area.
The prize is only awarded to an academic member of the University. One's lifetime academic achievement is not the deciding factor here, but rather excellent, internationally recognised, and current achievement in research.
The finalist is selected by the Rectorate on the recommendation of a jury specially appointed for this purpose.
The submission deadline for 2024 has already expired on 01.10.2024. The new call for proposals is expected to be available here from March 2026.
