Registration requirement in Münster

Students who move into a flat in Münster are required to register with the local authorities.

The City of Münster reminds all students who take accommodation in Münster of the NRW Resident Registration Act (Meldegesetz NRW):
"In accordance with the NRW Resident Registration Act, any person who changes, moves into or out of an accommodation in Münster is obliged to notify the Resident Registration Office within one week of change of address (registration, de-registration or re-registration)."

You can download the registration form online or pick one up at one of the Citizens' Affairs Offices, the Citizens and Council Services Office in Stadthaus 1, Klemensstr. 10, or your local district administration office.
