With the ‘WiRe - Women in Research’ funding programme, the University of Münster supports international postdoctoral women researchers by enabling them to collaborate with fellow researchers in Münster. All the while, WiRe helps grant recipients manage their work and familial responsibilities and offers them workshops, peer counselling and coaching. The Researchers & Staff department of the International Office is responsible for the overall coordination.
The mipri project represents an important contribution by the University of Münster toward building a network of national and international actors involved in peace research and peace work. In the first round of funding, the project released a call for peace research proposals and awarded the first “Münster Peace Prize”. In addition, a digital citizen science platform (PeaceHUB) will continue to promote exchange between members of the research community and interested citizens.
