Are you interested in learning German together with other international researchers and staff of University of Münster? Then, our German courses are just right for you.
Our courses prepare you to a range of common communicative contexts in everyday life and familiarize you with German culture and the local area.
Whether you are looking for opportunities to improve your German skills for everyday life or for study/research and work, our courses and workshops have something for everyone: feel free to join our courses
- for beginners to learn the basics of German from grammar and vocab to pronunciation practice & practice speaking
- for intermediate levels to choose a course with a focus on impromptu speaking activities
- for advanced levels to improve speaking & writing in everyday situations and practice giving short presentations.
We also offer special topic courses and workshops taught at various levels, tailored to your needs (such as developing your skills in German for academic and professional purposes).

Course fee: 270 Euro (for 60hrs)
NEW: German intensive week for beginners (A1+/A2) in March
If you would like to refresh your German language skills (A1 and above) or have not spoken German for some time, this course is perfect for you. In the course you will practise oral and written communication in a professional/university context and review the basics of German grammar.
Time: 10 MAR - 14 MAR and 17 MAR - 22 MAR 2025

University Münster offers its employees, dual career partners and scholarship holders to take on German language course free of charge, provided that 22 out of 30 sessions are attended.
