Germans, EU/EEA applicants and those with equivalent admission status (non-EU/EEA applicants who hold an EU/EEA university entrance qualification) may apply for up to 12 subjects of study in their first semester. Applicants without a European university entrance qualification who come from non-EU/-EEA countries must apply for restricted-admission degree programmes in the 1st semester. Neither your Abitur grade nor waiting time plays any role when applying for higher-semester enrolment in a restricted-admission degree programme. What matters is the applicant group you belong to.
Once the succession procedure is concluded via hochschulstart.de, prospective students may apply directly to the University of Münster for a chance to obtain a study place through a random selection procedure.
By swapping places to the University of Münster with another student, it is possible to gain admission to a restricted-admission degree programme at a higher semester. The following conditions apply to this special situation.
