Profile areas

By means of a dynamic process, the University of Münster has developed strategically relevant "profile areas" that are supported by outstanding researchers and characterised by inter- and transdisciplinarity. They combine thematically related research projects and focuses, joint activities in teaching and transfer, corresponding infrastructures and relevant partnerships. The University's Clusters of Excellence ‘Mathematics Münster’ and ‘Religion & Politics’ play a predominant role in this strategy.
