Crisis Fund of the university of muenster

The University management, the University of Münster Foundation, the Universitätsgesellschaft Münster e. V., the Alumni-Club and AStA (General Students’ Committee) are jointly calling for donations to the Crisis Fund. Your donations help students who are facing financial hardship. Students are eligible to receive up to 600 euros per semester, and in cases of dire hardship, up to 900 euros. Following a review of their application on the basis of defined criteria and a recommendation by the AStA Social Counselling Office, students are awarded a grant which need not be repaid.

The Crisis Fund is the follow-up programme to the Corona Emergency Fund which provided students who were struggling financially during the pandemic with over 800,000 euros in donations between 2020 and 2022. The Crisis Fund is a permanent measure which can also provide assistance to other students in need, e.g. to pay for language courses for refugee students, which can offer them better prospects at succeeding academically at a German university.

Donation receipts and personal mention

Donations to the University are tax deductible. We would be happy to issue you a donation receipt (for donations under 300 euros, the tax office requires only simple confirmation, e.g. your bank statement).
