Opening Colloquium with top-ranking international researchers
The new Cluster of Excellence „Mathematics Münster: Dynamics – Geometry – Structure” staged its opening event with a three-day colloquium. Fifteen distinguished international scholars from nine countries held specialist lectures, providing insights into their current research.

The new Cluster of Excellence "Mathematics Münster: Dynamics - Geometry - Structure" celebrates its start. Just like the Cluster interconnects all of Münster's mathematics from pure to applied, the opening colloquium will cover a wide range of mathematics with excellent speakers. Workshop participation is free of charge. However, a registration is required. Please register until May 26, 2019, via our Registration Form.
The conference dinner will take place at the restaurant ``Schlossgarten''. A fee of 20 Euros is charged for participation in the conference dinner to cover part of its cost. The fee is collected in cash on the premises.
Schedule
The Colloquium will start on Thursday, June 20, with a welcome address at 12:50. Registration is possible from 12:00.
Talks will be given on Thursday afternoon, all Friday and Saturday morning. The colloquium will finish on Saturday, June 22, at 13:00.
The conference dinner will be held on Thursday evening.

Travel Information
The University of Münster is located in Münster, Germany. (An alternative spelling of Münster is Muenster - note that this is different from Munster, Germany!)
By plane:
The airport Münster-Osnabrück (FMO) is located 30 km from Münster. A bus service to Münster central station is available (45 min). The airport Düsseldorf (DUS) is further away, but offers far more international connections. The train ride to Münster central station is 90 minutes. Details about connecting busses and trains are available via bahn.de.
Public transport:
Münster is well connected by train. For details see bahn.de. Starting at central station, several bus lines lead to the Schloss. Best choices are probably bus routes 11, 12, 13, 22, leaving at central station from bus stop B1. Get off at bus stop Landgericht after about 10 minutes.
By car:
Use your favourite routing service and enter Schlossplatz 2, 48149 Münster, Germany as your destination. There is a big parking lot in front of the Schloss.
