EPIGRAF

Abstract

EPIGRAF is a platform for the collection, annotation, networking and publication of communication data. The humanities orientation of the project will be expanded in the coming years to include data science and social science fields of application and, thanks to a universal data model, will then provide possibilities for opening up data collections ranging from letter editions to social media corpora.

EPIGRAF currently serves primarily to record epigraphic data – inscriptions in connection with the objects on which they are affixed – and to publish them both in printed form and in digital media according to the FAIR principles for the semantic web.
