Arslan Sheikh MS in LIS

Arslan Sheikh ist seit dem 1. Januar 2024 Fellow der Kolleg-Forschungsgruppe. Er ist Bibliothekar an der Junaid Zaidi Library der COMSATS University in Islamabad (Pakistan). Arslan Sheikh erwarb 2006 den Master of Library Information Science an der University of the Punjab (Pakistan). Derzeit ist er Doktorand am Institut für Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaft der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Thema seiner Dissertation ist „Open Science in the Pakistani Perspective“. Die Arbeit wird betreut von Prof. Dr. Eric Steinhauer, der Fellow der Kolleg-Forschungsgruppe ist.

Zu Arslan Sheiks Veröffentlichungen gehören die Artikel Evolution of research data management in academic libraries: A review of the literature (mit A. Malik und R. Er ist außerdem Gutachter für zahlreiche internationale Forschungszeitschriften, darunter das „Journal of Knowledge Management“, „Journal of Librarianship and Information Science“, „Information Development Journal“, „Journal of Information Science“, „The Electronic Library“, „Global Knowledge, Memory and Communication“, „Digital Library Perspectives“ und „Information Discovery and Delivery“.

Arslan Sheikh war Gastdozent an der Abteilung für Informationsmanagement der Universität Sargodha (Pakistan). Er ist Preisträger des „CUI, Research Productivity Award“ für die Jahre 2014 bis 2023, verliehen von der COMSATS University Islamabad. Er war Teil des Projekts der Research Software Alliance (ReSA), das vom Code for Science and Society, USA, gefördert wurde. Zu seinen Forschungsinteressen gehören Open-Access-Publikationen, Open Science, Social Media Networking, systematische Literaturrecherche und Forschungsdatenmanagement.
