It finally felt like student life again! The past two semesters were completely dominated by the pandemic, the majority of the practical courses had to take place digitally and, in particular, it was hardly possible for the students to get to know each other - after all, the O-week in its original form in presence was also cancelled. The Spikeball Cup Münster, however, offered the current second semester students the opportunity to really immerse themselves in campus life.
The tournament was organised by the Spikeball course of the summer semester and was aimed at the current second semester students. The turnout was huge - almost forty teams of two found their way onto the participation list. The games were played on the sports field behind the ball sports hall, first in groups and then in knock-out matches.
The winners were awarded prizes, but the fun of all participants, including the spectators, was clearly in the foreground. In perfect weather with lots of sunshine, the tournament lasted about five hours, but the games continued even after the thrilling final. Thanks to the support of the Campus Café of the University Sports Centre, there was also plenty of catering.
