When we talk about sustainable development, we mean satisfying the needs of the present in such a way that the opportunities of future generations are not restricted. Here, we consider the three dimensions of sustainability equally – economic, social and ecological.

Universities can be an innovative contribution to this. They form important interfaces and areas of experience for sustainable action and, as educational institutions, act as key players in the development of sustainability skills for future decision-makers.
