MMGS welcomes new members
On 8 May 2024 the Mathematics Münster Graduate School hosted a Welcome Event which served as both an informative event for the new doctoral researchers, as well as a moment where the new and old members could meet.
At the beginning, the MMGS PhD spokespersons Simone Ramello, Isabel Lammers and David Albert Steigenberger introduce the MMGS, the work of the speakers, and the support available for doctoral researchers.
Dr. Imke Franzmeier from the Cluster's early career support gave the first of the "MM Spotlights", dedicated to supervision and mentoring, e.g. what to expect from a supervision, how to communicate with your supervisor, and learn about the mentoring system of the Graduate School. After the Spotlight some of the investigators of the Cluster introduced themselves as possible mentors.
In the evening, there was time for eating, drinking and chatting for the new and old PhD researchers.
