Prof. Dr Janbernd Oebbecke (Deputy Chairperson of the Board)

Prof. Dr Janbernd Oebbecke studied law at the University of Münster and Administrative Science at the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer. Professor Oebbecke earned his doctorate and habilitation in the Faculty of Law at the University of Münster.
From 1994 to 1997, he taught and researched at the University of Düsseldorf. Since 1997, he has been a professor of Public Law and Administrative Sciences at the University of Münster. From 2000 to 2018, he served as managing director of the Institute for Municipal Law (KWI), and from 2016 to 2018 also as dean of the Faculty of Law.

Between 2000 and 2014 he was a member of the University Senate, serving as its chairman for nine and a half years.
