#inter
7th mensch.musik.festival
on 20. and 21. November 2021
We live in #interesting times! The festival years 2019 and 2020 could hardly have been more opposite: in 2019 the very big concerts and celebrations of the joint 100th anniversary of the Musikhochschule, the Westphalian School of Music and the Symphony Orchestra. 2020 then the digital seclusion in the Corona year: ghost concerts without audience in the concert hall and the audience via YouTube alone at home at the monitor.
For 2021 we are optimistic, but not unrealistic. We are planning a mensch.musik.festival with an audience on site, live in the concert hall of the Musikhochschule. However, we are trying to keep the crowds and the festival hustle and bustle within limits and are limiting the number of audience seats. At the same time, we want to reach everyone who is interested, which is why we also broadcast the festival concerts live via YouTube. We move #inter mundos, between the analog and the digital world.
The generous support of the Sibylle Hahne Foundation makes it possible for us to do this additional organizational and technical work. For this we thank you very much!
Admission on site and access to the live stream are free of charge.
On site: 3G rules for concert attendance apply. A limited number of tickets will be issued for the Saturday concerts on Saturday from 10:00 am and for the Sunday concerts on Sunday from 10:00 am exclusively at the Musikhochschule. Advance reservations are not available.
Live Stream: All concerts will be streamed on the official YouTube channel of the Academy of Music. Just click and enjoy!
This year's festival motto is #inter, because often it seems to be just about internationality, interpretation, interaction, interdisciplinarity and much more. As musicians, we find all of this interesting and would like to explore these in-between areas in our contributions to the mensch.musik.festival 2021 #inter.
The festival program includes a total of eight concerts ranging from pop to classical music. The individual program points and times can be found in our online calendar and will soon be available in a detailed program booklet.
