Concerts with top young musicians in the region
Many of the approximately 500 students of the Münster University of Music, who come from more than 20 countries, have already won prizes in international competitions or are members of renowned ensembles and orchestras, perform in clubs and at festivals due to their artistic excellence. - They are NEW STARS and are to shine over the entire Münsterland region in the future!
Life is a concert of wishes!
You can easily book private and public concerts with students from the University of Music.
Many of our students have not only excelled in their studies or at competitions, but have already gained extensive performance experience. They are booked by professional organisers for city festivals, festivals and other events.
Thanks to the renewed funding of the NEW STARS FOR THE MÜNSTERLAND by the regional cultural funding programme of the state of NRW, public (!) concerts can even be subsidised. A simple application is sufficient - as long as the funds last. (See below: Booking | KVB | Funding applications)
But you can also bring their concert to your privat family celebration, social institution, school or company on the date of your choice. Revive the tradition of house music!
If required, concerts can also be supplemented by workshops, student talks and other educational formats. New forms of presentation, special venues and, if necessary, ensemble rehearsals lasting several days make music students role models for young musicians in the region.
By the way: our New Stars can even bring their own stage for open-air events.
Season 2025
In the current season, the artistic spectrum of our NEUE STERNE ranges from the most diverse varieties of pop to the wide field of classical music with interpretations of works by the greatest composers. From one to many musicians, everything is represented and is presented in a fresh and likeable, independent and virtuoso manner.

You can discuss all the content and organisational details directly with the artists of your choice in advance. You will find a contact person and contact details for each of the programmes listed - the direct route to your dream concert!Would you like some advice? The line-up you are looking for is not listed?
In these cases, our Artistic Event Support (KVB) will be happy to help you find the perfect musical contribution for your event. Please email your enquiry to Prof. Peter von Wienhardt.Fees are agreed individually and go exclusively to the artists booked. Usual fees are between €300 and €1,000, depending on the effort involved and the line-up (soloist/ensemble/band).
As long as cultural funding is available from the Kulturförderung des Landes NRW, public (!) performances can be subsidised on application:
Fill out the application form and email it to dekan.mhs@uni-muenster.de. Within a short time, you and the musicians will receive feedback from us as to whether and to what extent your concert project is eligible for funding.
In principle, fees and ancillary costs can be covered.
We expect you to submit the application (including placement of the relevant logos) and organise the concerts on site as well as a financial contribution (between 200 and 400 euros, depending on the concert).Support | Supporters welcome!
NEUE STERNE FÜR DAS MÜNSTERLAND provides young professional musicians with performance opportunities in the region. This is achieved through public relations work and can be extended even further through financial support.

Prerequisite: You apply and are accepted as a participant in the programme. You can find out what we need here. Once you have been included in the programme, the profile of your solo project/ensemble/band will appear on this website and can be booked directly by event organisers.
