Successful Completion
On 22 July 2024, the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science held its graduation ceremony in the "Schloss", to which all doctoral candidates who successfully completed their doctorate in the summer semester of 2024 were invited.
During the event, the newly graduated doctoral researchers had the opportunity to briefly present their research results and thus showcase the broad spectrum of topics dealt with at the department. A special part of the ceremony was the awarding of certificates to the graduates of the Young African Mathematicians (YAM) Fellowship Programme, who also presented their research work.
The presentations were followed by the ceremonial swearing-in and awarding of doctoral degrees and certificates by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Arthur Bartels. The musical framework for the event was provided by Prof. Dr. Benedikt Wirth, who created a festive atmosphere with piano pieces by Florence Price.
We congratulate all graduates on their achievements and wish them all the best for the future!
