The University of Münster condemns the Russian attack on Ukraine. The University prides itself on its cosmopolitan worldview and advocates resolving conflict through peaceful dialogue. It stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people in these difficult days.
The University of Münster has discontinued all research projects with its Russian partners until further notice. The same applies to the exchange of students and researchers to and from Russia.
Shortly after the invasion, the University reached out to all Ukrainian students at the University of Münster to express its sympathy and assure them that the University of Münster is ready and willing to offer support. We are aware that Russian students and researchers at the University of Münster have their own concerns and questions. Of course, the University of Münster does not make them collectively responsible for the Russian regime’s unconscionable violation of international law.
The University of Münster offers a broad range of advisory structures targeted at various groups: the International Office as the first point of contact for international students and researchers, the CERes for doctoral candidates, and the Personnel Department for University employees. In addition, counselling services for refugees are established in all areas.
Below you will find additional information and links to advisory services.
