On 09.12.2022 a workshop took place at the IfS under the direction of Prof.in Bettina Rulofs and Gitta Axmann on the topic "Prevention of sexualized violence". Both are leaders in the field of (prevention of) sexualized and interpersonal violence. With this workshop, the working group Prevention of Sexualized Violence (PSG), implemented the measures for the prevention of sexualized violence at Ifs, which were anchored in the position paper adopted by the Ifs Board.
Bettina Rulofs is a professor at the Institute for Sociology and Gender Research at the DSHS. Her work focuses, among other things, on research into violence and discrimination in sport. She is head of the research projects safe sport and Sicher im Sport (safe sport and safe in sport), advises in the dialogue process of the Center for Safe Sport between the DOSB, the dsj and the athletes' representation, which is anchored in the coalition agreement, and also heads the adhoc commission commissioned by the dvs on the topic of prevention of sexualized violence.
In addition, Gitta Axmann has already offered workshops in various contexts - both in sports associations with trainers and in the university context with lecturers in the subject of sports science - and also deals with the prevention of sexualized violence in school sports.
This workshop offered great opportunities both in terms of personal further qualification and for our work at IfS.
