Promoting physical activity and dementia: services for caregivers and those affected
The ERASMUS+ project Actimentia aims to develop an interactive online platform to promote physical activity for people with cognitive disabilities or incipient dementia and their caregivers. Both target groups often withdraw from their social environment due to the disease and the amount of care required, which is often associated with reduced physical activity. In order to actively counteract these aspects and to improve the quality of life of those affected, the Active Aging Unit of the University of Münster, together with project partners from eight countries, is creating a website that is intended to encourage both caregivers and patients to be more active.
We cordially invite affected persons, caregivers and all other interested parties to try out the platform under the following link:
On the website you can try out exercises and games and fill out a feedback questionnaire under the menu item "About Actimentia".
