Equal Opportunities Officer

To ensure that issues of equality and diversity are given sufficient attention across the board, the Cluster of Excellence has an Equal Opportunities and Diversity Officer in its management team.

Dr. Kaouther Karoui has been the Equal Opportunities and Diversity Officer since January 2024. Having completed her doctorate in philosophy in 2023 with a thesis written from a transcultural perspective on theories of justice in contemporary Arabic-Islamic philosophy, she is now studying conceptual and ethical issues in gender and discrimination theory.

As a member of the management team, Kaouther Karoui is involved in administrative decisions and processes, develops models to achieve further diversity in the Cluster of Excellence, and is an advisory member of the Board of Directors and of the Commission for Equal Opportunities and Diversity.
