New episode of “Fokus Frieden” with Lena Siepker and Carolin Bohn

The new episode of the podcast “Fokus Frieden” was released today. In this episode, ZIN scholars Lena Siepker and Carolin Bohn discuss the topic of deliberative participation. The two political scientists focus on this topic, among others, in their research. They discuss both the potential additional value of dialogue-focused participation formats and the challenges associated with them, as well as their potential contribution to sustainability transformation.

The podcast “Fokus Frieden” was founded by the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate in 2020. Its founders, ZIN member Dr Rebecca Froese and Julia Renner, run the podcast together with Christopher Rohles from the Peace Academy. Each episode focuses on a current topic with the aim of understanding the dynamics of conflict and peace, focussing on the potential for peace and creating spaces for action for peaceful transformation processes.

Since the beginning of the 2nd season in September 2023, the ZIN and the interdisciplinary scientific journal “Wissenschaft und Frieden” have been cooperation partners of the podcast. As part of this cooperation, ZIN scholars from different disciplines will regularly be guests at “Fokus Frieden” in the future.
