Sustainable development is of vital importance for the future and requires research at the systemic and subsystemic levels. The Center for Interdisciplinary Sustainability Research at the University of Muenster focuses on ecological, social and economic sustainability aspects at the global, national, local and individual level. Participating scholars employ normative, empirical and transformative approaches.
