A new film on Mathematics Münster
We are excited to present a new film about Mathematics Münster, offering authentic insights into the work at the Cluster of Excellence. The film highlights the research approach of Mathematics Münster and shows how it shapes and influences our work: interdisciplinary collaboration, an open communication culture, a wide range of support programmes for early career researchers, and a focus on achievements and future developments all illustrate why Mathematics Münster is such an attractive place to work and conduct research, particularly for young mathematicians.
The film features interviews with:
- Diego Martínez, former postdoc
- Eva Viehmann, Professor of Theoretical Mathematics
- Hendrik Weber, Professor of Stochastic Analysis
- Bahareh Yousefi, doctoral researcher
We visited a variety of locations for the film. Some scenes were shot in the historic lecture hall at the "Schloss", while others were filmed in front of the "Schloss". At Mathematics Münster, the Common Room during lunch, as well as the Conference Centre during a poster session and short talks, are featured. A glance through the glass door reveals the children’s room at Mathematics Münster. The lecture scenes were filmed in a lecture hall of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, and the playground scenes were shot at the daycare centre on Schlossplatz.
The film is the result of collaboration between many dedicated individuals. A special thank you goes to the members of Mathematics Münster who contributed both in front of and behind the camera in the planning and production of the film, as well as to the creative film team from Sterntaucher.
