Prof. Quandt in Oxford & Stanford
(07.03.2018) From March till July 2018, Prof. Thorsten Quandt, director of the Münster Department of Communication will be guest professor at the Universities of Oxford and Stanford.
Invited by Prof. Andrew Przybylski, Professor for Prof. Quandt will be guest professor at the Oxford Internet Institute from March till April 2018. There, he is going to engage in VR- and games research, as well as research concerning propaganda and populism. Prof. Andrew Przybylski is an experimental psychologist based at the Oxford Internet Institute who focuses on applying motivational theory to video games and social media.
The Oxford Internet Institute is part of the Balliol Collage at the University of Oxford. It is a multidisciplinary research and teaching department dedicated to the social science of the Internet.
From May till July 2018, Prof. Dr. Thorsten Quandt is going to be guest professor at the H-Star-Institute at the Stanford University.
He was invited by Prof. Jeremy Bailenson, Professor for Communication and founding Director of Stanford University’s Virtual Human Interation Lab. The Human-Sciences and Techolologies Advances Research Institue (H-Star) is an interdisziplinary research center at Stanford University, focusing on people and new technology.
