The 23rd International Symposium on Polycyclic Aromatic Compounds (ISPAC 23) stands in a long tradition of very popular PAC meetings. The first one was held in 1976 in Columbus, Ohio, and several of the subsequent meetings were also organized in the USA. Nowadays the meeting alternates between North America and Europe.
The beauty of the symposium concept lies in the coming together of scientists who work in quite different scientific areas where polycyclic aromatic compounds play a major role. It offers a unique opportunity to learn about the latest research not only in one’s own area of study. You will broaden your understanding of this many-facetted class of compounds. With in-depth coverage of both chemical and biological aspects, everybody will learn many new things about PACs. The breaks and social events will allow you to get in touch with everyone else in an informal way.
In 2011 Germany will be host of the meeting for the first time. We are proud to welcome you to the city of Münster and to our university, and we are confident that you will enjoy both the science and the city here.
See you in September 2011!
