The 4th Meeting of the Brazilian Diaspora for Science and Innovation and the 3rd National Meeting of the Apoena Network take place in Berlin

On 7 June 2024, at 14:30 CEST (09:30 BRT), the Brazilian Embassy in Berlin, in partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), the Getúlio Vargas Foundation Europe (FGV Europe) and the Apoena Network, is organizing the fourth meeting of the Brazilian Diaspora of Science and Innovation in Germany. The event is dedicated to all Brazilians who work as researchers, developers and postgraduate students in companies, universities and fundamental or applied research institutes in Germany.

In addition to presentations by the Apoena Network and the FGV Europe, the programme also includes presentations by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) on the talent return programme "Knowledge Brazil" and the MCTI on Brazil's artificial intelligence strategy. Furthermore, a panel discussion with researchers investigating different AI applications and a pitch session will be held.

The 4th Meeting of the Brazilian Diaspora for Science and Innovation aims to promote the continuity of discussions about the diaspora, support contact between researchers and promote contacts with Brazil.

The first three events, which took place between 2021 and 2023, had more than 500 participants each, both in person and online.

The event at the embassy will be followed by the 3rd National Meeting of the Apoena Network in Berlin at 6.30 pm (18:30 CEST) in the James June beer garden.
