The city of Rio de Janeiro was chosen to host the seventh edition of the annual Alumni Meeting of the University of Münster in Brazil. The dinner hosted by the Brazilian Centre on December 6, 2023 brought together graduates with the most diverse profiles: from a newly arrived undergraduate exchange student to a professor who did his master's and doctorate at Münster and who maintains strong research and teaching ties at the University.

The former rector and emeritus professor of public, European and administrative law at the University of Münster, Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Hans-Uwe Erichsen, was awarded the National Order of the Southern Cross.
The projects selected by the joint call for proposals with FAPESP (Sao Paulo Research Foundation), the Brazilian state agency with the most resources available for promoting research, were announced.

The International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (Grupo de Cooperação Internacional de Universidades - GCUB) has launched the Second Edition of the GCUB International Mobility Programme – GCUB-Mob.
