Are you a student, scholarship holder or guest lecturer at the University of Münster?
As such
- you are not subject to the law on employee inventions as long as you are not employed by the university.
- you are not obliged to transfer your share of the invention to the university if you participate in an invention,
- but you must then bear the proportionate costs of patenting yourself.
However, you can transfer your share of the invention to the University of Münster.
- This is then done under the same conditions as for an employee inventor,
- i.e. the university covers the costs of a patent application at the DPMA and
- You will receive 30% inventor's remuneration if your invention is successfully commercialized.
