If you wish to announce an invention or apply for a corresponding patent, please choose the membership category to which you belong: "Members of the University of Münster", "Staff of the Faculty of Medicine", or "Students, Scholarship Holders and Visiting Academics".

Inevention Disclosure

Are you a student, scholarship holder or guest lecturer at the University of Münster?

As such

•     you are not subject to the law on employee inventions as long as you are not employed by the university.
•     you are not obliged to transfer your share of the invention to the university if you participate in an invention,
•     but you must then bear the proportionate costs of patenting yourself.

However, you can transfer your share of the invention to the University of Münster.

•     This is then done under the same conditions as for an employee inventor,
•     i.e. the university covers the costs of a patent application at the DPMA and
•     You will receive 30% inventor's remuneration if your invention is successfully commercialized.
