Personal research project:

Can the structure of behavioural and physiological variability predict training outcomes? - multidimensional assessment and intervention in older adults

University/ Institute:

Institut des Sciences du Mouvement, Aix-Marseille Université

Supervisor team:

Rita Sleimen-Malkoun and Jean-Jacques Temprado

Motivation:

My research will look for answers on how to best assess and understand the functional status of the system in clinical and ageing populations using the structure of behavioural and physiological movement variability. These results will then be converted into clinical assessment tools and interventions that can be used outside of the laboratory. I will strive to make a significant and influential scientific contribution inside TReND using my background in cognitive and computational neuroscience, as well as my resourcefulness and organisational skills. I am most excited that TReND offers the opportunity to join an international and multidisciplinary community, with possibilities of training and mobility, which will help me grow my scientific career and collaborate with other doctoral candidates within TReND and our academic and industrial European partners.
