Research at the university outpatient psychotherapy clinic
The Outpatient Psychotherapy Clinic for Children and Adolescents (PTA KiJu) is our central psychotherapeutic infrastructure. The infrastructure enables research and training with the explicit aim of offering high-quality psychotherapy for affected children, adolescents and young adults.
"For better times" is the motto of the PTA KiJu. We stand for
- high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy offered by a team of licensed child and adolescent psychotherapists and psychological psychotherapists with additional qualifications in child and adolescent psychotherapy,
- a transdiagnostic psychotherapy approach for children, adolescents and young adults with various (comorbid) mental health disorders (with a focus on internalizing disorders),
- modern psychotherapeutic approaches with a focus on "integration of everyday life", "interoception" and "dyadic interactions" and
- scientifically oriented training of future psychotherapists as part of the MSc KliPPt.
