(International) cooperations
The department of Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy and its university outpatient psychotherapy clinic (PTA KiJu) collaborate with national and international experts and colleagues in the fields of psychology and medicine, including colleagues from the University Hospital Münster (e.g., Prof. Dr. Marschall, Dr. Ahrens, Prof. Dr. Romer, Prof. Dr. Dannlowski). Prof. Dr. Hechler is a member of the European initiative Euronet-SOMA, which brings together scientists from all over Europe to improve the diagnosis and treatment of patients with persistent somatic symptoms (coordinator: Prof. Dr. Bernd Löwe, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf). In the area of dyadic interactions and research-based teaching and learning, there is close cooperation with colleagues from the Institute of Psychology and the Lernzentrum für individualisiertes medizinisches Tätigkeitstraining und Entwicklung (Limette).
To foster involvement, participation and networking, we also work closely with children, adolescents and young adults, and collborate with educational/practical institutions and post-graduate training institutions for child and adolescent psychotherapy in the area of Münster (namely, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Verhaltenstherapie (DGVT) Münster; Angewandte Gesellschaft für Psychotherapie (APV) Münster and Westfälische Akademie für Kinder- und Jugendlichenpsychotherapie (WAK) Walstedde).
