Abstract
How the human brain brings information from the external world and integrates it with internal cognition to produce a coherent reality experience remains an intangible mystery. During several decades, anatomical, neurophysiological, and neuroimaging research has stood out in the effort to understand the functional streams that make those integration processes possible. Using network/graph theory metrics and through the characterization of large-scale connectivity axes, we are now closer to achieving a global comprehension of the human brain connectome.
