UpSideDown - Graphic Novel

Read the Graphic Novel.

A graphic recorder was invited to the second international circus conference UpSideDown - Circus and Space (2017), who visually recorded the core theses and discussions of the renowned speakers.

In cooperation with the Kulturbüro of the University of Muenster, an Academic Graphic Novel was published from these recordings , which introduces circus research and serves as an exhibition catalogue for the UpSideDown - Traveling Exhibition.

These two innovative research documentations offer the opportunity to bring together the knowledge generated during the conference, to network content and to bring academic research in circus closer to artistic practice. They thus take into account the central challenges of an interdisciplinary and international science.

The potential of these unconventional documentations was discussed with experts in science communication at the event Science Communication Today: Ever Louder, Ever More Colourful - Ever More Important? (2018) .
