The University of Münster offers a comprehensive network that includes both WLAN and LAN. The WLAN is available in most university buildings, canteens, bistros and some outdoor areas and enables access to the Internet and various services on the university network. Students and staff at many national and international universities and research institutions can also use the WLAN.
The LAN, on the other hand, offers a more stable and faster connection with enhanced security features for registered devices. In addition to the connections for employees, which require registration, freely accessible LAN connections (pLANet.X) are also available.
