Research Topic

In my research project I focus on the development of novel thioredoxin reductase inhibitors for M. tuberculosis as new antituberculotic drugs. This work is done through a combination of biochemical laboratory work such as protein expression and crystallization as well as crystallographic fragment screening and computational molecular design methods.

The goal of another project is the expression and structural characterization of a TRPM ion channel from S. mansoni towards the investigation of the mechanism of action of an anthelmintic drug.
