Consultant for Digital Humanities and Research Data Management
Jan Rohden, born in 1986, studied German-Italian Studies at the Universities of Bonn and Florence, where he received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts. Subsequently, he began his doctoral studies as part of the trinational research training group “Founding Myths of Europe in Literature, Art and Music” at the Universities of Bonn, Florence and Paris IV (Sorbonne), which he completed in 2017 in Romance Studies.
From 2016 to 2018, Rohden worked as a research associate at Bonn University and State Library in the project area Research Data Management of the specialised Information Service for Romance Studies, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). From 2018 to 2019, Rohden worked as a subject specialist at Göttingen State and University Library where he was responsible for the subjects Romance Studies, Art History and the general collections. He also participated in the areas of Digital Humanities and research data management as a member of the Research and Development Department and the “Göttingen eResearch Alliance”. From 2019 til September 2021 Rohden served as a consultant for Digital Humanities and research data management in the central office of Max Weber Foundation in Bonn.
