Brazili Centre holds information events for early career researchers

For over a decade, the Brazil Centre at the University of Münster has been organising and participating in informational events for Brazilian students and researchers interested in pursuing postdoctoral stays in Germany. More recently, these activities have been expanded to cover other countries in South America. In March of this year, representatives from various German and European universities and funding held informational workshops in Bogotá, Santiago, and São Paulo.
All events proved to be highly successful: with full attendance and an engaging Q&A session that encouraged lively interaction, Individual consultations were also held, with motivated participants —many of whom already had the names of professors and research centres of the University of Münster at the tip of their tongues. In Colombia and Chile, the event was also expanded to include those interested in pursuing a PhD in Germany, whether in full or through a "sandwich" model.
The roadshow engaged with approximately 150 young students and researchers from various fields—ranging from history to nanoscience, pharmacy, law, mathematics, and beyond—all showing a strong interest in gaining a meaningful international experience at a prestigious institution.
The organizing consortium, consisting of German universities, the DAAD, and DWIH São Paulo, is planning a virtual event for the second half of the year, with the intention of enabling participants from other regions of the continent to join as well.
