2nd Webinar between Brazilian Supreme Court and WWU
The second webinar organized by the University of Münster and its Faculty of Law in cooperation with the Brazilian Supreme Court (STF) will take place on 11 March at 11am (BRT)/3pm (CET) on the topic “Constitutional Courts and Countermajoritarian Protection”. In this event, Justice Luís Roberto Barroso will hold the keynote lecture. The WWU will be represented by Prof. Dr. James Fowkes, Professor of Foreign and International Law, and Prof. Dr. Joachim Englisch, tenured Professor for Public Law and Tax Law from its Faculty of Law. Along with Prof. Dr. Patrícia Perrone Campos Mello, Professor of the Doctoral Programme at the University Center of Brasília (UniCEUB) and Prof. Dr. Oscar Vilhena, Dean of Fundação Getulio Vargas School of Law in São Paulo (FGV Direito SP), from Brazilian side, they will deepen the discussion on this highly relevant topic.
This webinar is the second of a series of events organized in the framework of the cooperation between the Law Faculty of WWU and the Brazilian Supreme Court. Since 2021, the Law Faculty maintain a cooperation agreement with the highest court in Brazil.
