The junior research group will run a diverse programme on the thematic focus of translation. This includes conferences, regular colloquia and lecture series as well as individual lectures, a summer school, and summer language courses. In addition, there are plans for a scholarly blog. To generate a broader multidisciplinary positioning within the research landscape, the junior research group aims to cooperate with interdisciplinary research approaches from Middle Eastern studies, translation studies and history as well as other (non)European philologies.
