The Alexander von Humboldt House was built in 1984. Thanks to its nested, open design, each apartment has its own separate access.

The Schloss – the University's main administrative building – can be reached on foot in about five minutes, and the city centre is only about ten minutes away. With a bus stop right in front of the guesthouses, there is good public transport to all University departments, to Münster’s main station and to the city centre.
