Within the framework of Erasmus+ you have the possibility to finance 2-60 days of training measures within the EU+ Iceland, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Norway and Turkey. With this offer we would like to develop the professional skills of the participants, give them the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the practices of the target institution, and enable the exchange of professional experiences.

  • Target group

    • Professors and lecturers with a contractual relationship to the university
    • Lecturers with contracts
    • Emeritus professors and retired teachers (applications for business travel must be signed by the Dean of the department)
    • Research assistants
    • PhD students
  • Requirements

    • The mobility is for further education.
    • Mobility has been agreed with your superior.
    • You take part in one of the information events.
  • What can be funded?

    Stays lasting from 2 days to 2 months

    • Job shadowing
    • Participation in workshops or courses, also language courses
    • Participation in a training week for personnel

    Pre-Departure

    Procedure Required Documents
    1. Fill in the Inquiry for Erasmus Mobility and send it via your Erasmus-coordinator (List of Coordinators) to the International Office. You will then receive a funding confirmation and other documents. Inquiry for Erasmus Mobility
    2. Contact a partner university and agree on a possible Training Staff Mobility. Application form (Dienstreiseantrag)

    3. At least 6 weeks before departure: submit the application form (original) and the letter of invitation (e-mail is fine) Erasmus "Dienstreisegenehmigungsantrag"
    4. You receive from the International Office
    electronically:
    • business trip approval

    by post:

    • Two Grant Agreements with calculated funding (submit one signed hardcopy to the International Office before departure)
    • Mobility Agreement
    • Letter of Confirmation

    7. After your mobility, please submit the following documents:
    • Letter of Confirmation
    • The EU will send you an email with the link to the Participant Request

     You can find the requirements form here. All other documents will be sent to you by the International Office in due course.

  • Funding

    The participant receives a normal salary from their home university during the mobility period. The home university is always responsible for the cost of the exchange. Erasmus scholarships cover travel expenses (adjusted according to distance, for most countries 275 euros) and accommodation (140-180 euros per day until the 14th day of stay depending on the country group, from the 15th day of stay 70% of the daily rate).
    The maximum total funding amount is 1,500 €.

    Please refer to your tax office or your tax advisor regarding any tax consequences that may arise, as the University of Münster cannot provide any information on this subject.

  • Insurance

    The program participants are required to secure adequate insurance coverage during their stay themselves. Lectures, Emeriti and similar groups of persons are not covered by liability, accident or health insurance during their stay abroad by the university or the Erasmus programme.

    For this purpose, the DAAD offers a group insurance, which participants can acquire at their own expense. This includes health/accident and liability insurance:
