About us
The Outpatient Clinic for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders is a special outpatient clinic of the Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy Unit under the direction of Prof. Dr. Buhlmann.
Since the opening of the Outpatient Clinic for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders in July 2015, we have placed a new focus on the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorders.
Since 1997, Prof. Dr. Ulrike Buhlmann and Prof. Dr. Sabine Wilhelm, head of the Obsessive-Compulsive & Related Disorders Program at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School in Boston, have been working closely together and exchanging scientific information on the diagnosis and psychotherapy of obsessive-compulsive disorders.
The outpatient clinic for obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD) offers diagnosis and treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorders. Psychotherapy research is also an important goal of our outpatient clinic. In particular, we investigate the effectiveness and mode of action of therapy for obsessive-compulsive disorders in order to further develop and improve effective therapeutic approaches. In addition, we also conduct studies in which we investigate which processes play a role in the development and maintenance of OCD.
