ZEUGS NEWS 2014

The 11th World Conference for the International Society for Third Sector Research (ISTR) was held at the University of Muenster in July 2014. With the theme "Civil Society and the Citizen" 600 scientists from 60 countries gathered to discuss civil society (research), non-profit organizations, and philanthropy.
At the meeting with the AGG Affinity Group within the framework of the conference, the ZEUGS introduced itself to the task force and discussed common areas of research. To bring the day to a close, the ZEUGS invited the members of the task force, as well as other guests, to a reception in the H building.

At the conference the ZEUGS also organized a panel entitled "Barefoot and Pregnant: Towards the End of Civil Society? Gender in Authoritarian Regimes." In their role as Chairs Prof. Dr. Gabriele Wilde and Prof. Dr. Annette Zimmer initiated the panel and gave an overview of the scope of the ZEUGS research focus: "gender relations in authoritarian and hybrid regimes."

Among the speakers of the panel were Prof. Dr. Angelika von Wahl, Prof. Dr. Joyce Mushaben, Katharina Obuch, M.Phil., and Alexia Duten, MA. Dr. Eva Maria Hinterhuber from Rhine-Waal University (Kleve) participated as a discussant on the ZEUGS Panel.
