The Human inside the Animal – a subject for Münster

Last year, the University of Münster won the competition entitled “A Uni – a Book”. The award is tied to funding a series of events designed to enable as many people as possible to discuss a certain book and fire their enthusiasm for a shared topic. Münster University chose the book “The Human inside the Animal” by Münster behavioural scientist Norbert Sachser. In his book, he describes a “revolution in the image of animals” which has taken place over the past decades on the basis of research in the field of behavioural biology.
What does he mean by that? How is it expressed? And what are the consequences? In the summer semester 2021 there are public talks and discussions on the subject of “The Human inside the Animal – a subject for Münster”.
