Tandem Workshops

The workshops aim at providing support for the language learning process. Students who want to receive 3 or 5 credit points are required to attend at least two workshops. Tandem pairs who work together without wanting to get any credit points are welcome to participate, too.

Please keep your logbook (langauge learning diary) ready for each workshop.

    WORKING WITH THE LOGBOOK

    We will introduce padlets as a tool for written and oral documentation and will show you to what extent a logbook (learning diary) can promote autonomous learning by reflecting on language learning in tandem.

    How can I use the potentials of a tandem patnership to improve cultural competences?

  • STRATEGIES FOR LEARNING VOCABULARY

    What kind of strategies help me save new vocabulary and phrases permanently in my mental lexicon? You will get to know new strategies that you can use immediately in the tandem sessions and during preparation for and follow-up after the sessions.

  • IMPROVING ORAL COMPETENCES

    How can I specifically work on improving my oral communication competences? You will share your experiences on this topic and will get to know new possibilities on how to expand your speaking skills.

  • LEARNING MATERIALS

    Where do I find learning materials that are both suitable for my learning goals and for learning in tandem? Please bring your own (ideas on) materials.
