Research

The research area focuses on education and culture in sport. On the one hand, our research focuses on current sport pedagogical questions about learning and teaching in sport in different settings, especially in physical education and extracurricular school sport, but also in associations or on the street. On the other hand, cultural studies questions about the philosophy and history of sport are examined. In both areas of focus, both qualitative and quantitative methods are pursued. In this way, the research area aims to contribute to a fundamental understanding of the culture of movement, play and sport and to provide a scientific pedagogical foundation for mediation processes in sport.
