Recognition of Sportpatenprojekt and Dr. Marie Ghanbari

Dr. Marie Ghanbari from the Department of Sport and Exercise Psychology was invited to the prestigious OECD Global Forum on the Future of Education and Skills 2030 in Japan in October (10.10-13.10). This invitation from OECD Education Director Andreas Schleicher honours the innovative sports mentoring project, which is being carried out on an interdisciplinary basis at the University of Münster.
At the forum, Marie Ghanbari, together with delegates from 26 countries, contributed her expertise to the work on the Teaching Compass. The OECD emphasised the need to systematically embed empathy in teacher training in order to create a conducive learning environment and future leaders with high social-emotional skills.
